Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

We are representing a specialist multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Birmingham and they have a great opportunity for an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to accompany their team due to their ongoing succession.

The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects and will have a large involvement in both new build and refurbishment projects, working from early planning to end delivery phase.

Within this role you will be expected to:

• Prepare design calculations and drawings for the full range of Mechanical Services under the supervision of a Senior Engineer

• Carry out thorough site investigations, complete inspections, identify issues and solve problems.

• Understand the principles of BREEAM and LEED sustainability accreditation schemes

• Offer support to junior engineers

• Keep up to date with the CPD requirements for CIBSE/IMechE

Candidates should have:

• 2 years' + Experience ideally in a building services consultancy

• Relative Engineering degree

• Revit, AutoCAD and BIM Environment capabilities

• IES Virtual Environment (Basic knowledge allowing reports to be reviewed)

• Strong organisational / communication skills to be able to communicate and collaborate with team members, clients and construction professionals about projects
